Two killed as train hits truck
Two people were killed as a train hit a timber-laden truck at Banglabazar level crossing in the sadar upazila yesterday noon.
The dead are Saiful Islam, 38, the truck driver and Dhonash Chandra Das, 40.
Police said the accident occurred when the timber-laden lorry was passing through the level crossing and a Mymensingh-bound train from Mohonganj knocked it down, leaving the two dead on the spot.
