3 die in road crashes
Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Dhaka and Jhenidah yesterday.
Staff correspondent reports: Day labourer Yusuf Gani, 30, of Bhola, was injured as a truck carrying him overturned at Darussalam in the capital.
He succumbed to his injuries at Shahid Suhrawardy Hospital at around 4:15am.
In another incident, an unidentified vehicle ran over Salimuddin Sarkar, 38, at Malibagh intersection at about 1:00am.
He succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Our Jhenidah correspondent says: Young motorcyclist Asraful Islam, 14, son of Abdus Samad, died and another was injured as their bike hit a coconut tree at Kalikapur in the sadar upazila yesterday.
