Two killed, 10 hurt as train hits tempo
Two people were killed and ten others sustained severe injuries when a Lalmoni Intercity Express train hit a passenger tempo at Alidaha level crossing in Shaghata upazila yesterday afternoon.
One of the deceased is Ful Mia, 40.
The injured were rushed to Shaghata Upazila Health Complex.
Police said a tempo carrying some brick field workers were returning home from Raniganj. While it was passing the level crossing, the Dhaka-bound train rammed it. As a result, the tempo skidded off the road and fell into a roadside ditch, killing the two people on the spot and ten others injured.
