Superstores, shop fined, stolen diesel seized in Ctg
Two superstores and a diesel shop were fined and 90 liters of stolen diesel was seized in separate drives in the port city on Monday.
A mobile court, while conducting a drive in the city on Monday, fined Shapna Superstore Tk 50,000 and Khulshi Mart Superstore Tk 60,000 on charges of mixing formalin in fruits and food items, said a press release.
District Administration Executive Magistrate Jannatul Ferdous led the drive with the assistance of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-7) personnel and Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institutions (BSTI) officials.
In another drive same day at Sagarika Road area, another mobile court seized 90 liters of stolen diesel from a shop of Mohammed Idris Ali.
The court was led by District Administration Executive Magistrate Kazi Abdur Rahman and assisted by Rab-7 personnel and BSTI representatives.
The court also fined another shop identified as Amanat Enterprise in the area Tk 5,000 on charge of illegally trading diesel without documentation, the press release added.
