Mugger held in Ctg
Police arrested one person allegedly for mugging a garments worker at Ispahani Circle in the port city on Tuesday.
The arrestee was identified as Imam Hasan, 29, hailed from Feni.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team arrested Hasan from the area around 9:30pm on Tuesday and recovered a mobile phone set and a vanity bag from his possession, said Rafiq Ul Islam, sub-inspector (SI) of Khulshi Police Station.
Hasan along with his three accomplices mugged the phone and bag from a female garment worker earlier that evening, he said.
Though Hasan got caught, his accomplices managed to escape when police chased them, the SI added.
