Azim Uddin Master, a freedom fighter and schoolteacher, suffering from heart disease, has been advised to undergo an operation immediately. Doctors at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital have said he has developed heart block. To remove the block, he needs Tk 6 lakh. A schoolteacher, Azim Uddin is unable to afford the high medical cost. Azim Uddin first suffered heart complications in 1993. However, he continued to teach at Tengratila High School till 2011, spending 26 years in the profession. "As I was suffering heart related problems, I had to quit teaching at the school, located near my village in Doarabazar upazila", he said.
