Fire breaks out at power sub-station
Fire broke out at a power sub-station of Dhaka Power Distribution Company in BSCIC industrial area of Fatulla in the district yesterday.
The fire originated from the circuit breaker of the power station and soon gutted the entire breaker at around 12:00pm, said Ruhul Amin, junior assistant of the power station.
Two units from Mondalpara Fire Station of the town rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.
Power supply remained suspended in the industrial area, Shasongaon area, and Madsair Police Line since the incident occurred till the filing of this report at 6:30pm.
The damage in the fire was estimated at about Tk one crore.
