11 cops injured in road crash in Patuakhali
Eleven members of Barisal Metropolitan Police were injured in a road crash in Naobhanga area of Kalapara upazila in the district yesterday.
The injured were identified as Habilder Delwar, Arfan, Siddik, Nazmul; Nayek Nazrul Islam, Akkas, Aminul, Shahidul Islam, and Constable Mizan, Liton Akon, and Mizan-2.
Of them, Habilder Delwar, Arfan, Siddik, Nazmul, and Nayek Nazrul Islam and Akkas were sent to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.
A team of 50 police personnel was returning by a BRTC bus from Kalapara upazila town.
The driver lost control over the steering and the bus fell into a roadside ditch when it reached Kalapara-Patuakhali Road in Naobhanga area, police sources said.
