10 hurt in Manikganj clash
At least 10 youths were injured in a clash over playing cricket at Purba Dashra village in Sadar upazila on Friday. Locals said the clash ensued following an altercation between two groups of youths over playing cricket at Palli Mongal field at the village at around 5:30pm. At least 10 people from both sides were injured during chase and counter chase. On information, police rushed to the spot and dispersed the clashing groups. Of the injured, Milan, 18, Polash, 19, Nahid, 17, Lijon, 18, and Shuvo, 16, were admitted to Sadar Hospital while the rest given first aid. Additional police have been deployed in the area to avert further clash.
