Abducted siblings rescued in Bagerhat
Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) rescued two abducted siblings from Guabaria village in Morrelganj upazila and arrested a young man in this connection.
Both are students of class seven and class five at Khulna Government Coronation High School.
Quoting family members, Lt Commander Nur-e-Alam, deputy commander of Rab-6, said the duo left their house in Purba Bania Khamar area in Khulna city for a coaching centre on February 22 and did not return home.
Father of the two then filed an abduction case with Khulna Sadar Police Station, accusing his neighbour Riazul, 28, and his father Babul.
Acting on a tip-off, Rab personnel raided the village, rescued the victims and arrested Riazul.
