Indian cloths seized
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel recovered Indian cloths worth Tk 16 lakh from a water body in the district's Debhata upazila Thursday night.
A group of smugglers were coming from the border area with smuggled Indian cloths around 11:30pm, said BGB sources.
When local BGB men chased them, the smugglers fled the scene leaving behind the cloths in Sekendra beel, they added.
Debhata camp BGB Company Commander Nayek Subedar Amir Ali confirmed the incident.
