22 teachers of seven Lalmonirhat pry schools transferred
Twenty-two teachers of seven government primary schools in Hatibandha upazila have been transferred as the schools' results in the terminal examinations of 2011 were very poor.
As per directive of State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Motahar Hossain, Lalmonirhat District Primary Education Officer Nobez Uddin Sarker issued the transfer orders on Wednesday last.
The education officer said transfer is a punishment for the teachers. Earlier, show cause notices were issued to the teachers, but they could not give satisfactory replies, he added.
The punished primary teacher are Abul Kalam Azad, Sahara Begum and Archana Rani of Char Goddimary Primary School, Shafiqul Islam, Dijendra Nath Roy, Mohammad Jalal, Mariam Begum of Dakkhin Goddimari Primary School, Mrinal Chandra Roy, Ashrafuzzaman and Saiduzzaman of Sindurna Primary School, Nazrul Islam and Shirina Nadira Parvin of Paschim Holdibari Primary School, Shamim Kabir Patwary, Elahaq Uddin of Kisamat Nohali Primary School, Fajar Ali, Abdul Quader and Shefali Rani of Jawrani Primary School, Alema Banu, and Aminul Islam, Farhana Parvin, Mehen Ara and Tariqul Islam of Dalalpara Primary School.
They will face departmental action if they do not join new workplaces, the education officer said.
