Thakurgaon BCL leader stabbed
Organising secretary of district unit Chhatra League (BCL) Sohel Rana, 26, was seriously stabbed at Bashirpara in the town on Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses said, Sohel Rana was standing beside a shop at about 4:00pm. All of a sudden, a group of youths numbering 10/12 swooped on him with knives and stabbed him indiscriminately.
Locals rescued him and took him to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Contacted, president of district unit BCL Fakhrul Islam Jewel told this correspondent on Friday that the group led by Robin had earlier attacked Sohel's nephew Labu for protesting stalking in the area.
Sohel was attacked as a sequel to that incident, he said.
