BNP leader hacked to death in Narsingdi
A local BNP leader was hacked to death near Meghna Bazaar police camp in Paikarchar union of Sadar upazila on Saturday night.
Family sources told police that Abul Kashem, 55, Paikarchar union BNP joint secretary and also the postmaster of Meghna Bazaar post office did not return home at night after some unidentified men called him out around 9:00pm. His cell phone remained switched off.
In the morning his body was found in a field near the bank of Meghna River.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital for autopsy.
The motive behind the killing could not be known immediately.
A case was filed.
