Garlic seized in Sylhet
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 113 sacks of garlic worth Tk 6.5 lakh from Khutamar in Jointapur upazila on Monday night while being smuggled out to India. On secret information, Sripur border outpost members conducted a drive in the area at about 9pm and seized the garlic from two trucks. They also arrested the drivers of the two trucks. Sensing the presence of the border guards, the smugglers fled away. The seized garlic was handed over to Jointapur customs.
