3 'fake' DB men held
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three youths from the town area early yesterday for claiming themselves DB men.
The arrestees are Shohel Rana, 23, son of Abdul Kader of Shantinagar village, Mahbub Alam, 22, son of Md Samsul Haque and Nazimuddin Sumon, 21, son of Sheikh Farid of Muslimnagar.
Lt. Commander of Rab Rangpur M Alamgir Hossain said the youths impersonated themselves as DB men while the elite force intercepted a vehicle carrying the three in BISIC area in front of Polytechnic Institute.
Rab men then arrested the trio and handed them over to police, added Alamgir.
