British Council office to be shifted

Office of the British Council in Chittagong will be shifted to Agrabad Commercial Area from Sholoshahar, Gate No-2. The office will be inaugurated on February 27. Murray Keeler, country examination manager of British Council in Bangladesh, said this during a courtesy call on Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Morshed Murad Ibrahim at the chamber office in the port city yesterday. Praising contributions of the council to enriching standard of education in Bangladesh, Murad urged its officials to set up more institutions in the district. Assuring all out cooperation from CCCI in running and expanding the council's activities in Chittagong region, he said different programmes of British Council in the country like connecting class room, active citizen and climate change are playing active role in creating mass awareness. Murray Keeler said the progress of Chittagong was going on at a very good pace, adding World Trade Centre, a project of CCCI in Chittagong, was the emblem of development in Bangladesh. British Council Centre Manager of Chittagong Nahid Khan and CCCI directors were present on the occasion.
