Housewife takes her life
A housewife allegedly killed herself by hanging from a beam in her room at Munjitpur in the town yesterday.
Lipi Khatun, 25, wife of Faruque Hossain of village Khalishkhali in Tala upazila, stayed at a rented house hanged herself at around 12:30pm, said Aslam Khan, OC of sadar police station.
The police and family members of the victim, however, could not ascertained the reason behind the incident.
The body was sent to Sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy. A case was filed.
