Five brick kilns fined in Natore, Faridpur

Mobile courts in Natore and Faridpur districts fined five brick kilns for illegal operation and activities on Saturday. Three illegal brick kilns were fined Tk 70,000 by a mobile court in Natore Sadar upazila and Lalpur upazila on Saturday afternoon. A team led by executive magistrate Saniul Ferdaus, also the NDC of Natore, carried out the drives. The kilns were fined on charge of burning bricks using banned technology, said Saniul Ferdaus. They also did not have the certificates and licences for burning bricks. The team fined M/s Jamuna Bricks Tk 40,000 in Natore Sadar upazila, M/s YRKF Bricks Tk 5,000 and M/s MHT Bricks Manufacturers Tk 25,000 in Lalpur upazila. In Faridpur, a mobile court in separate drives fined two brick fields Tk 90,000 for burning firewood in Boalmari upazila on Saturday. The brickfields are Raj Builders and MRS Bricks. The mobile court, led by executive magistrate Nasrin Jahan, conducted the drive at the two brick kilns at around 10pm and realised the fine for burning firewood violating government ban.
