SSC student murdered in Jessore
A schoolboy was murdered by unknown assailants at Roghunathpur village in Sarsha upazila early yesterday.
The victim, Masud Hossain, an SSC examinee from Pakshia School, was son of Rafiqul Islam of the village.
Sharsha police said the killers gouged the eyes of Masud and then strangled him.
Sub Inspector Rezaul Islam at Sharsha PS said Masum went missing from Monday night. The assailants killed him at a Roghunathpur field and dumped the body beside Dihi union parishad (UP) office.
The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained immediately, he said.
