Police arrested five members of banned Islamist outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh along with CDs from Hetalia Badghat of Sadar upazila yesterday. The arrestees are Sanaullah, 22, Jasim Uddin, 33, Nazrul Islam, 30, and Yusuf, 25 of the upazila while Nuruzzaman, 22 of Basbunia village of Jhalakathi. Md Monirul Islam, officer in-charge of Patuakhali Police Station, said on secret information, law enforcers arrested the five from the spot at noon while they were distributing CDs, books on jihad and calendars in the area. Later, the arrestees were produced in the court that sent them to jail, the OC added.
