Robbers loot two jewellery shops
A gang of robbers looted gold ornaments and cash from two jewellery shops at Johurul Islam Market in Kashinathpur of Santhia upazila early yesterday.
Police said the gang broke the lock of Nur Jewellery and Mita Jewellery at the market and took away at least 23 tolas of gold and Tk 30 lakh in cash.
Md Abdus Subhan, president of Kashinathpur Bazar Shammity, said the burglars injured the night guard at the market and looted the two jewellery shops.
The law enforcers visited the spot. No case was filed with the police station concerned as of 5:00 pm yesterday.
