Missing farmer found dead
Body of a farmer was recovered yesterday, three days after his 'mysterious disappearance' in Akkelpur upazila of Joypurhat district. Victim Harun Dewan, 32, is son of late Bayen Dewan of Nawta Uttarpara in the upazila. Family members said that Harun went out Monday afternoon and never returned home. Family members and villagers searched for him but failed to trace him. Police at around 3.30pm yesterday recovered his body from a nearby cannel. Police suspect that criminals abducted Harun on Monday, killed him and dumped the body into the canal.
