<i>Schoolboy killed by another boy, schoolteacher by his colleague</i>

A schoolboy was killed in Savar by another boy and accomplices on Sunday while a schoolteacher was murdered in Chapai-nawabganj by another teacher and his men on the previous day. A schoolboy was killed by another boy and his group over at trifling matter a Savar Adhor Chandra High School field on Sunday, reports JU correspondent. Victim Sabuj Hossen, 15, was a class ten student of business administration group at Mohammad Yaqub Ali High School under Tetuljhora union in Savar. Sabuj was the son of Nurul Islam of Shovapur area. Witnesses said, Sabuj went to the school ground to see a cricket match between Tetuljhora High School and Mohammad Yaqub Ali High School. Minutes before the beginning of the match, the bicycle of another boy hit Sabuj. As Sabuj fell to the ground they locked in a quarrel. At a stage, Sabuj slapped the bicycle rider. As a sequel to the incident, the boy with 8-10 accomplices later severely beat up Sabuj. He received a serious head injury and the boys fled the scene. Sabuj was rushed at Savar Enam Medical College Hospital in a critical condition. He was sent to Dhaka Metropolitan Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. Contacted, Md Asaduzzaman, officer in-charge at Savar Model PS, said police were trying to identify the culprits behind the killing. A murder case has been filed with the PS, he added. In Chapainawabganj, a schoolteacher was killed allegedly by another teacher and his men at Namojogonnathpur village of Shibgonj upazila on Saturday. The victim was identified as Abul Kashem, 55, an assistant teacher of Char Jogonnathpur Registered Primary School in Durlovpur union under the upazila, reports our correspondent. Sub Inspector Shahidul Islam of Shibgonj police station said, Abul Kashem was returning to his school from Fielder Hat at Namojogonnathpur village at around 6:45pm. All of a sudden, another teacher of the school, Shahjahan Ali, along with 10-15 others attacked him, beat him up seriously and later strangled him by a maffler. There was a conflict between Abul Kashem and Shahjahan Ali over the post of headmaster of the school, locals said. Receiving information, police went to the spot and recovered the body from a mustard field on Sunday morning and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Victim's brother Setabuddin filed a murder case against Shahjahan Ali and 10 named and five unnamed people with Shibgonj police station. Shajahan Ali and his accomplices went into hiding after the incident.
