Under trial prisoner dies
An under trial prisoner who fell seriously ill at the district jail on Thursday died at Sadar Adhunik Hospital on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Shamsuddin Nuri, 45, son of late Yusuf Ali of Kalikapur village of Kishoreganj upazila and principal of Kalikapur Agriculture and Technology College.
Jail Superintendent Golam Rabbani said they admitted Shamsuddin to the hospital as he fell seriously ill on Thursday morning where he died at about 7:00am on Saturday.
Shamsuddin was arrested on September 19 in an answer script forgery case.
