Trader stabbed, robbed
Criminals stabbed a fish trader and snatched Tk 2.85 lakh from him in Bagdanga area of Sadar upazila on Thursday night.
The injured, Walid Hossain, son of Abdur Rashid Biswas of the area, was rushed to Sadar hospital in critical condition.
Police said a gang of three attacked Walid around 9:15pm and took away the money while he was going to nearby Matiadanga fish depot by a motorbike.
Later, local people led by UP member Aminul Islam caught the suspected muggers and handed them over to the law enforcers after mob beating.
The detainees are Mohammad Saddam Hossain, 24, son of Mohammad Sahidul Islam, Mohammad Bipul Hossain alias Khokon, 26, son of Mohammad Moslem Uddin of Matiadanga village, and Mohammad Hafizul Islam, 20, son of Mohammad Ashraf Gazi of Baluigachhi village in the upazila.
