Five maunds of hilsa fry seized
Members of the Bangladesh Coastguards seized five maunds of hilsa fry from a launch in the Meghna River in Bohoria area near the district town on Friday.
A team of Coastguards, led by Station Commander M Zahurul Haque, seized the hilsa fry known as jatka from the Dhaka-bound passenger launch MV Tipu-II from Bhola in the mid-river during their regular drive.
But none was arrested in this connection.
Later, the seized jatka were distributed among the local distressed people and the orphans and madrasah students in presence of police.
