Agreement to be reviewed

Newly appointed Director of UK Trade and Investment, Bangladesh Justin Davies yesterday said the agreement signed between UK Border Agency in Bangladesh and Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in 2009 on issuance of UK visa from Chittagong will be reviewed. Davies said this while exchanging views with CCCI President Murshed Murad Ibrahim at the chamber office in the port city, said a press release. In the meeting, the chamber president sought British investment in infrastructure development, ship breaking, tourism, gas and power sector of the country. Davies mentioned that the UK is the third largest market of Bangladeshi products. He expressed his keen interest to set up educational institutions of British standard in Bangladesh in collaboration with the chamber. The chamber Director Mahfuzul Hoque requested Davies to take initiative to organise trade show jointly by UK Trade and Investment and the chamber.
