Robbers loot buses, trucks
Robbers looted four goods-laden trucks and valuables from passengers of six buses on Churomonkathi Bazar road in Sakormatha area of Jessore district early yesterday. A gang of seven to eight robbers blocked the road and looted goods from the trucks and cash, gold ornaments and cellphones from the passengers of the buses at gunpoint at around 1:30am. On information, a patrol police team from Jessore Kotwali police station rushed to the spot, but could not arrest any of the robbers as they managed to flee, said Asraf Hossain, officer in-charge of the police station.
