2 kids killed as walls collapse
Two boys were killed in Thakurgaon and Barisal in the incidents of wall collapse on Monday and the day before.
A six-year-old boy was killed and another injured as a wall collapsed at Dangaon village under Haripur upazila in Thakurgaon on Monday, reports our correspondent.
The deceased was identified as Asadul, son of Mahbub Hossain and the injured was Shujan,6, son of Abdur Rashid of the same village.
Police said the wall collapsed and fell on the boys as a power tiller carrying paddy from a field hit the roadside wall at the village at 9:00am.
In Barisal, a boy was killed and two others were injured Sunday night after a wall collapsed at Katadia village under Charamuddi union of Bakerganj upazila.
Nurul Islam, officer in-charge of Bakerganj police station, said Naim,5, Zahirul,7, Mamun,9, three local boys were playing by the side of the boundary wall of Ruhul Amin Master's family graveyard at Howladar Bari in the village.
Local people rescued the boys but found Naim, son of Nurul Islam dead.
