Fugitive convict held
Police arrested a fugitive convict in a robbery case in Mndha ferry ghat area of Manda upazila in Naogaon district on Sunday. The arrestee is Sumon alias Mamun, 30, son of Dost Mohamamd of Bangpur village under Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj. Acting on a tip-off, a team from Nachole police station raided the area around 1:00pm and arrested Mamun, said inspector Sayed Iqbal of the police station. Earlier, a Chapaianwabganj court awarded him 10 years imprisonment in a case filed for committing robbery in Gomostapur upazila.
