College student murdered
A college student was killed and two others were injured by a gang at Katakhali village in Magura sadar upazila on Wednesday night.
The deceased, Palash Kumar Biswas, 18, son of Anukul Chandra Biswas, was a second year student of Katakhali College.
The injured--Himangsu Biswas, 15, and Samojit Biswas, 14, are undergoing treatment at Magura Sadar Hospital.
Police quoted family members as saying that some youths of Malondo village stabbed Palash and his friends Himangsu and Samojit around 9:00pm following an altercation over a musical soiree held at the adjacent Bagdabga village the same night.
Critically injured Palash was rushed to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital where he died at around 11:00pm.
