RU student drowns
A student of Rajshahi University (RU) drowned in a cannel of Chalan Beel yesterday afternoon.
The victim, Selim Hossain, 22, son of Aiyub Ali of Raninagar village in Singra upazila under Natore district, was a first year student of Geography department of RU.
Police quoting locals said Selim along with his friend Minar went to Pannama cannel for fishing.
Selim fell into the water from a boat and drowned while fishing with a net.
