Current nets seized in Ctg
Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) seized current nets worth about Tk 57 lakh from Sonadia in Cox's Bazar Friday night.
Coast guard members in a regular drive seized about one lakh metres of current net from Nadirtek area adjacent to Sonadia circle around 9:30pm, said a press release from BCG.
The seized nets were burnt in presence of the Assistant Fishery Officer Md Jahangir Alam of Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station yesterday, the release added.
