Two children drown in Sunamganj
Two children drowned in Herachapti River near their house at Kaliarkapon village in Dirai upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Saima, 7, daughter of Afizul Mia and Rabina, 7, daughter of Ekram Ali of the village.
Local people said Saima and Rabina fell in the river and drowned at about 1:00pm when they were playing on the bank of the river.
They drowned as they did not know how to swim.
After hectic search, local people found their bodies floating in the river.
