The labourers also went on strike yesterday morning. Sources said, about two thousand tea labourers including women entered the residence of the garden manager Ismail Khan and assaulted him injuring seriously. Earlier, Lalbabu Rabidas, a labourer of the tea garden fell from the factory building's roof on Thursday noon. He was admitted to the tea garden's hospital and later taken to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital. He died at Osmani Medical College and Hospital in Sylhet on Sunday. After the death of Rabidas, other labourers became angry as the garden manager allegedly did not give money for treatment of the victim. Yesterday, the agitated labourers gathered in front of the garden office and went on strike keeping the body of Rabidas in front of the office building. They also locked the office rooms of the tea garden. At one stage, they beat up the manager who is now being treated at the tea garden's hospital.
