3 outlaws arrested

Police in separate raids arrested three operatives of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) Janajudhha faction in Santhia upazila in the district on Saturday night. The arrestees are Akkas Ali, 25, Abdus Salam, 30, of Sonakandi Bill and Md. Nazmul Haque, 25, of village Koromja of the upazila. Officer in-charge of Santhia police station SM Bazlur Rashid said, being tapped-off, police arrested Salam from Sonakanda Beel (water body) of the upazila at about 7 pm. Later they arrested Akkas and Nazmul from Terokhada village of the upazila in another raid. According to police, the arrestees are hardened operatives of PBCP Janajudhha faction and accused in several cases including for murder.
