Production at Ashuganj Fertiliser stops again
Production at Ashuganj Fertiliser and Chemical Company Limited (AFCCL) came to a halt due to a technical fault at its ammonia plant yesterday.
According to AFCCL office sources, ammonia plant developed a technical fault at around 9:30am. As a result, the authorities stopped running the factory to save it from further damage.
Contacted, Md Jinnat Ali, managing director of AFCCL, said engineers of the factory are working to repair the fault. It will take two days to resume production, he added.
An official requesting anonymity said production at the factory was disrupted for the fourth time after overhauling.
