2 youths jailed for stalking
Two youths were jailed in Pabna and Habiganj districts for stalking on Sunday.
A mobile court in Pabna sentenced a stalker to jail for 8 months on Sunday for sexually harassing a schoolgirl in Bera upazila.
Police sent convict Ibrahim Hossain, 25, to Pabna Jail yesterday, reports Our Correspondent.
Ibrahim, son of Zakat Ali of village Sonapadma in the upazila used to harass a class seven female student of Natun Varenga High School.
Victim's father and locals informed it to the police.
Later Bera police arrested Ibrahim from Natun Varenga Bazar area of the upazila at about 2 pm on Sunday, said Abdul Hai, officer in charge of Bera police station.
In Habiganj, a mobile court sentenced a young man to six months rigorous imprisonment on Sunday for sexually harassing a widow in Baniachang upazila, reports Our Staff Correspondent in Sylhet.
The convict was identified as Motaher Mia, 35, son of Motlib Ullah of Kutubkhali village in the upazila.
Officer in-charge of Baniachang PS Nirmalendu Chakraborty said Motaher used to tease the 40-year-old woman, wife of his late uncle Jamir Ullah.
He said Motaher was arrested from his house Saturday night following a complaint by the widow.
