Man, son jailed for murder
A court here Monday sentenced a man to life term imprisonment and his father to jail for five years for killing a man in 2002 while committing robbery.
The convicts are Nasir Hawlader,35, and his father Delwar Hossain,50.
The court also fined Nasir Tk 10,000, in default, to suffer six months more RI and fined Delwar Tk 1000, in default, to suffer one month more RI.
According to prosecution, a gang of robbers killed Monoj Kumar Das after looting valuables from his house at Paschim Cechri village in Kanthalia upazila on June 2, 2002.
After examining the records and witnesses judge of additional sessions judge court Siddiqul Arefin Chowdhury handed down punishment to the two accused.
