Man kills father, brother in Natore
A man killed his father and younger brother over a land dispute in Boraigram upazila of the district early yesterday.
The dead are Sattar Hossain, 70, and his son Shahadat Hossain, 27.
Police said Ibrahim Hossain, 30, killed his brother Shahadat by slitting his throat at around 3:00am when he (Shahadat) was asleep at their Lotabaria residence.
As Sattar rushed to the room hearing Shahadat's screams, Ibrahim pounced on his father with a sharp weapon and stabbed him indiscriminately. Sattar died on the way to Boraigram Upazila Health Complex.
Ibrahim, who had a long-drawn dispute with his father and brother over a piece of 10 decimal land, went into hiding soon after the killings, said Aminul Islam, assistant superintendent of police (Boraigram circle).
