SI suspended for neglect
Sub-inspector (SI) Zahirul Islam of Chandpur Sadar Model police station was suspended on charge of negligence of duty on Tuesday and closed to the district police line. OC of the police station said police superintendent Shahiduddin Chowdhury suspended him with effect from September 20. Sources said, charges of gross irregularity and negligence were brought against him in a case filed in connection with a clash between two rival groups at Balutham High School ground in Bishnupur union on Sept 14. The allegations against him were proved during a probe by an inquiry committee.
