Farmer stabbed to death
A farmer was stabbed to death by unidentified criminals at Soadi village in Kotchandpur upazila on Sunday night.
The dead was identified as Sobdul Hossain, 30, son of Abdul Karim of the village.
Locals found the body of Sobdul on a field yesterday morning and informed the police who recovered the body and sent it to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police said Sobdul might have been killed by a gang of thieves while guarding his vegetable field at night. His body bore marks of stab injuries, they said.
A case was filed with Kotchandpur Police Station yesterday morning. No one arrested in connection with the murder as of 6:00pm yesterday.
