One killed in clash
One person was killed and 15 others were injured in a fierce clash in Nikli upazila yesterday. The deceased was identified as Abu Taher Mia, 35, son of Sukar Ali of Kathalkandi village. Police and local sources said, there was a longstanding dispute between Harun Mia and Bahar Uddin of Kathalkandi village over a piece of land. Both group equipped with lethal arms locked in a fierce clash yesterday in Kathalkandi area, leaving 15 injured. Of them, Abu Taher was rushed to Nikli upazila health complex in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.
