Eagle Freed, Tortoises Rescued

L-R: This crested serpent eagle, rescued by forest officials from the cage of a resident of Dakkhin Khabongpurea in Khagrachhari Sadar upazila, was released back to freedom on Monday. Police seized 29 tortoises from a wholesale fish market in launch terminal area of Patuakhali town on Monday evening, prior to preparation for their alleged smuggling to India.
