12 shops gutted in Bhola

A devastating fire gutted 12 shops at Muripatti in Chakbazar area of the town early yesterday causing a loss of about Tk 25 lakh. Police said the fire broke out from an electric short circuit at a shop and soon spread to other shops. The damaged business enterprises include puff rice shops, hotels and other establishments. The fire service men rushed to the scene and doused the flame.
