Three children raped
Three kids were raped in Panchagarh and Patuakhali districts on Saturday and Thursday.
A 5-year-old girl was raped at Bamunkumer village under Atwary upazila in Panchagarh district on Saturday afternoon, reports our Thakurgaon correspondent.
Contacted, officer-in-charge (OC) of Atwary police station said over cell phone that Jasmin, daughter of Idris Ali of Dhantala village under Baliadangi upazila in Thakurgaon came to visit her maternal grandfather Abdul Khalek's house at the village about a week ago.
On Saturday afternoon at about 3:00pm, Abul Hossain,40, son of Jamaluddin and father of four children took the girl to a makeshift water pump room near a boro field in the village and violated her.
Hearing Jasmin's screams, villagers rushed to the spot and rescued her with severe injuries but the rapist managed to flee.
Victim's maternal grandfather Abdul Khalek filed a rape case with Atwary police station accusing Abul Hossain, the OC said.
In Patuakhali, two underage girls were raped in Sadar and Galachipa upazilas on Thursday, reports our correspondent.
Police and family sources said, a 7-year-old girl of Auliapur village under Sadar upazila was raped allegedly by Zakir Mridha, 18, a college student at a lonely house.
Hearing screams of the girl, locals rushed to the spot and rescued the girl, but the rapist fled the scene.
Family members admitted the girl to Patuakhali General Hospital where she is still under treatment.
Father of the girl Forkan Gazi said he will file a case with Patuakhali police station.
In Galachipa, a 14-year-old girl of Lamna village was raped by one Ohab Howlader, father of three children, at about 3:30 am on Thursday.
The victim said when she came out of her house to respond to nature's call at night her neighbour Ohab raped her.
She is now being treated at Patuakhali General Hospital. A case was filed with Galachipa police station in this regard.
