Three outlaws arrested in Pabna, C'nawabganj
Police arrested three members of two outlawed parties in Pabna and Chapainawabganj yesterday and the day before.
Two hardened operatives of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) Janajudhha faction were rounded up yesterday from remote villages of Santhia upazila of Pabna, reports our correspondent.
The arrestees are Md. Bablu Khan, 42, son of Tofiz Khan of village Alokdiar and Md. Rohomot Ali, son of Shoharab Ali of village Bil-Shalangi of Santhia upazila.
Both are members of outlawed PBCP Janajudhha and accused in several cases.
Officer-in-charge of Santhia police station said a police team raided their villages early yesterday and arrested them from their residences.
In Chapainawabganj, police arrested a member of banned Sarbahara Party from a bus stand in Nachole municipal area on Saturday night.
Arrestee Zamir Uddin, 28, is son of late Mongla of Dhopi Para village under Atrai upazila in Naogaon district, reports our correspondent.
Inspector Sayed Iqbal of Nachole police station said, police arrested Zamir from Nachole bus stand area at around 10.00pm. Later, they recovered eight bullets from his possession.
He said, the arrestee confessed to police that he is a member of Sarbahara Party's Mozaffor group.
