10 arrested in Banapale while returning from India
Police arrested 10 people, including three women from non-man's land, while they were returning home from India early yesterday.
The arrestees were identified as Sebika Ghosh, 18, Anima Ghosh, 15, Ashim Kumar Pal, 35, Faruk Ahmed, 23, Ataur Rahman, 25, Shariful Islam, 26, Habibur Rahman, 28, Timir Baran Chokrabarty, 35, Minoti Devnath, 18, and Muslim Ali, 21.
They hailed from different areas of Bagerhat, Satkhira and Jessore districts.
Police said, on a tip off, they raided the Benapole check post area and arrested them while they were entering into the country without valid travel documents.
