Body recovered
Decomposed body of an unidentified woman was recovered from the Ichhamoti River at Pailanpur village in Sadar upazila yesterday noon. Contacted, officer-in-charge (OC) of Pabna police station Md Matiur Rahman said locals saw a body floating in the river in the morning and informed police. Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the woman aged about 30. Later, they sent it to Pabna General Hospital Morgue for autopsy. The victim might have been killed and thrown in the river, the OC said. The reason behind the murder is yet to be known, he said adding, an investigation is going on.
